But Bahubali is a fictional story and Sye Raa is inspired from true events. So there will be many differences story wise, but the period touch and the revolution movie having war scenes might bring a simile between the two movies is what everybody thought. Surender Reddy tried his best to bring his own mark to the movie and he succeeded in leaving his own mark on Sye Raa but sometimes the movie did resemble Bahubali and the fans of Rajamouli are feeling proud of that. In the prerelease event of the movie itself, Chiranjeevi said that they risked starting Sye Raa only because of the inspiration Rajamouli gave by making Bahubali. From the lead actress Tamannaah playing warrior shaded role in the movie to the supporting artists like Rohini andTanikella Bharani reminds Bahubali sometimes. The decapitation scene in Sye Raa makes one think of Bahubali but the scene in climax fight where Narasimha Reddy roars over the British with the thundery background forming his emblem of Lion in the sky reminds the same shot of Amarendra Bahubali fighting Bhallaladeva in Bahubali final fight. As Surender Reddy thought of making a commercial movie inspired by true events, he took many cinematic liberties and that is one of the reasons why the movie is hailed all over the country. But there are also some voices being heard that the makers have over fictionalized a true story and hence left a dubious mark on the history.
