Anupama Parameswaran is a known face in the South Indian film industry. She might not have been a part of many commercial films nor she acted beside many star heroes but she has a separate following here. She appears in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu industries. She is playing the role Amala Paul played in Ratsasan, in the remake of it in Telugu as Rakshasudu. The trailer of the movie is out and the movie will be released next Friday. So she shared a few interesting things in a press meet of Rakshasudu. When asked about the news about her being the first option for the role of Ramalakshmi in the movie Rangasthalam, she said, “Yes, I was approached for the movie, Rangasthalam but I have other movies at that time and in a conflicted situation, I have to choose other movie. But after I saw the movie, I thought that I might not have made as justice Samantha did to the character.” She also revealed her interest in direction. Since she has worked as worked as an assistant director for a Malayalam movie, she said that she is always interested in direction but she won’t direct as long as she is acting. She also said that she has a few story lines.
